To participate in the collective photobook

Project idea

This project is an experiment to test how artists interact with rigid constraints. Is it possible to preserve an author’s style by following a set framework? Is it possible to create the unique by using clichés? Are constraints a challenge that spurs creativity, or do they merely perpetuate an established canon?

I want to understand how new artistic movements are born within a limited toolkit. Is it a paradox to create when choices are minimal? Or does it lead to purity of expression?

What you need to provide

A photograph of a wall, the boundaries of which dissolve out of frame. It is important that the wall remains flat, without visible lines of perspective, and parallel to the camera sensor.

You can play with color, light, tone, composition, framing, add objects or people to the frame, but they should not dominate the image. Collages are also welcome.
